Introduction to Macrame with a modern twist
Macrame is making a reappearance and now it is updated with a tasteful modern appeal. Micro macrame is the art of macrame using very thin cording materials. By changing the thickness of the materials and combining it with other techniques like weaving and beading the most intricate jewelry designs can be created. The possibilities are endless! In this class you will learn basic knots with traditional cords to create your very own set of heart shaped coasters that are approx. 7” x 7”. Once you learn this pattern you can create your very own heart earrings or a pendant by using thinner cords.
A copy of the step-by-step instructions and supplies for the coasters will be provided. At the end of this workshop, you will take home 2 beautiful coasters to brag about.
This is a beginner’s class. No experience necessary.
