Join us for “Birds of Prey”, a raptor bird educational program presented by Horizon Wings Raptor Rehabilitation and Education.
Our friends from Horizon Wings are bringing rehabilitated eagles and owls. Come experience these birds up close and hear their stories. You will learn about how you can help these birds in the wild and how you can help the Horizon Wings program. If want to see these amazing creatures, stop by!
– This event will be held outdoors. Weather permitting.
– Free entry, donations recommended but not required. All proceeds will be donated directly to Horizon Wings.
– Kids are welcome, parental supervision required!
– Please no dogs or other animals
– Come early, these events fill fast!
About Horizon Wings:
Horizon Wings was formed in 2001 by Mary-Beth Kaeser as a 501C3 non-profit Wildlife Rehabilitation Center specializing in Birds of Prey located in Ashford, CT. Horizon Wings has several raptors that cannot be released back into the wild due to their injuries. Fortunately they are able to keep these birds at their center and, with a special permit, use them for educational programs.
The mission at Horizon Wings is to rehabilitate birds of prey for release into the wild in order to maintain their population,
and to educate the community to enhance awareness of the environment.
It is their hope by doing this that we reach people of all ages and create the desire in them to help preserve our natural world.
