About Us

Connecticut Valley Brewing Company is an independently owned and operated family business. The company was founded by two Connecticut locals who have dreamt of opening a brewery for many years and have always wanted to create a place where the community could gather and enjoy each other’s company. Our South Windsor facility, which we officially opened in early 2018, is situated in the heart of the Connecticut Valley. Our brewery is just a short, five minute drive to the banks of the beautiful Connecticut River.

Our logo features the F4U Corsair airplane which is the Connecticut State Airplane and a great testament to the spirit of the state. Because we feel community is important, our company is highlighting some of the state’s great industries and adventure spots by featuring them on our cans. These people and places have not only inspired our own lives and the life of the brewery, but they also honor the places we’ve come to live, love and grow in. We hope you enjoy your time here and we look forward to serving you again in the future.

Cheers to You and Cheers to Connecticut Craft Beers!

Our Founders

Steve Palauskas

Owner and Founder

Steve has been brewing nearly 30 years. Passionate about craft beer and local breweries, Steve wanted to bring great beer to a town that didn’t yet have a craft brewery. Besides craft brewing, Steve has worked in the aviation world for over twenty five years where he built a business from the ground up. With help from the team, Steve began building a brewery from the ground-up too and today is proud to pilot the brewery with a bunch of great co-pilots!

Lori Palauskas

Owner and Founder

Lori is the creative force behind a lot of Connecticut Valley. From the labels on the cans to the tie-ins with our great state of Connecticut, Lori’s creative vision has helped shape our company. Lori is passionate about charity and has helped connect the brewery to a number of great charities within the state. Lori and her husband Steve share a vision for great craft beer and a great space for the community to gather.

Our Brewery Team

Jason “Jay” Desroches

Head Brewer

Jay has been here since right after the steel went up and has had a hand in every facet of building the facility and the equipment that sits inside (alongside Steve). Jay has several years of brewing and mechanical experience. He has brewed at breweries such as Nashoba in Bolton, MA. His easy going positive attitude and dedication to craft beer is as much an asset to our company as the brewing equipment that sits inside.  When not at the brewery you can find Jason spending time with his wife and son, camping, or going vanning in Vermont or Maine.

Ashley Blanchard

Director of Operations

Ashley has worked in the food & beverage industry for over 10 years. She has also worked in the craft beer industry for a few years now and has become our resident beer geek. Her never ending energy and can do attitude are definitely infectious and she is always ready to answer any questions about brewing or just talk about her passion; craft beer. When not at our brewery you can find Ashley with her husband at one of Connecticut’s other amazing breweries or cheering on her favorite football team.
